Compact, thin and lightweight design allows for high tilt
Introduction
The EM-Tec compact Smart-Clip metallographic mount holders have been specifically designed for compact and table-top SEM’s and for high tilt applications. They comprise a low weight, minimal diameter and allow for very high tilt angles – close to 90 degrees. The metallographic or metallurgical mount is held by 4 copper S-Clips which clamp the side of the mount. In case of non-conductive embeddings, a grounding path can be easily made with one of the copper S-Clips.
The lightweight and thin design only adds around 2 mm to the diameter of the mount, thus allowing for high tilt w/o interfering with detectors under pole-piece of the SEM.
The EM-Tec compact Smart-Clip metallographic mount holders are suitable for mounts with a height of 10mm or more. They can also be used as an adapter on SEM’s using pin stubs for holding the cylindrical sample stubs from JEOL and Hitachi with diameters of 25 or 32 mm and a height of 10mm or more.

Double use of holders 12-002932 and 12-003932 By moving the clips from the chokes to the widening parts of the bottom of holders 12-002932 and 12-003932, you can use these holders for both Ø30mm mounts and Ø1-1/4-inch mounts. |
