Introduction
The EM-Tec Flextube clear, thick wall hoses are ideally suited to quickly make flexible vacuum lines used for pumping or backing up to the 10-4mbar range. For smaller diameters (up to Ø10mm ID), a thick wall silicone is most suitable. For larger diameters (over Ø10mm ID), wire reinforced PVC hose is more suitable. The thick wall plastic vacuum hoses can be used with the EM-Tec KF/NW hose adapters to integrate them into KF/NW vacuum lines. Use vacuum hose clamps to tighten the vacuum hose on the vacuum hose adapters.
EM-Tec clear, thick wall silicon vacuum hose
Thick wall silicone vacuum hose is ideal for making small diameter custom length and flexible vacuum lines. Clear, thick walled silicone tube is a flexible, yet robust material which will not collapse under vacuum. Smallest bending radius is approximately 3 times the outside diameter. Inside and outside of the EM-Tec silicone vacuum hose are smooth.
Ideally suited to connect the EM-Storr and Vacu-Storr vacuum sample storage containers to a vacuum pumping system. This silicone vacuum hose can also be used on peristaltic pumps compatible with 12mm (1/2”) hose. Available with lengths up to 5 meters. To prevent vacuum leaks use hose clamps for permanent connections.

EM-Tec Flextube clear, wire reinforced thick wall PVC vacuum hose
The EM-Tec Flextube is a clear, wire reinforced thick wall PVC vacuum for making flexible and custom vacuum hoses. Made from corrosion resistant clear thick wall PVC with embedded zinc plated spring steel wire. This flexible yet strong hose allows for relatively sharp bends and will not collapse under vacuum. Outside and inside of the PVC vacuum hoses are smooth. Smallest bending radius is approximately 3.5 times the outside diameter. To prevent vacuum leaks, use hose clamps to tighten the PVC vacuum hose on the vacuum hose adapters. Current choice includes 16mm and 25mm ID PVC vacuum hoses. Available with lengths up to 10 meters.

EM-Tec DN-KF Flextube PVC vacuum hoses
The ready to use EM-Tec DN-KF Flextube vacuum hoses are made from EM-Tec Flextube clear, wire reinforced PVC hose with KF hose adapters on each end. They are available with KF16 and KF25 flanges with lengths from 0.5 to 5 meters.
