Cryo gloves are necessary to protect hands against cold objects and splashing of cryo liquids. They are suitable for liquid handling nitrogen at LN2 filling station, handling LN2 dewars, dry ice (CO2), freezers, LNG and LPG filling stations, ultra-low temperature freezers and other low temperature environments. They can withstand low temperature ranging from -170°C to -250°C for a short time. They are not suitable for immersion in cryo fluids. Application fields are wide ranging such as biomedical, life science, cryo microscopy, laboratory research, industrial cryo cooling, cryogenic blasting and storage in ultra-low temperature lab freezers. Two types of cryo protection gloves are offered:
EM-Tec CP40 Leather cryo gloves: made from waterproof top layer grey cowhide with low temperature resistant cotton lining and fireproof thread. They comfortable and flexible with size M/L. Total length 40cm with longer cuff to extend protection to the arm. Weight is 400 gram/pair. The leather gloves are also heat resistant, but the two applications should not be mixed to avoid degraded cold protection performance.
EM-Tec CP48 composite material cryo gloves: made from breathable and waterproof blue composite material with a low temperature cotton lining. They are also flexible and comfortable with size M/L. Total length is 48cm with an extended cuff to the elbow to offer even more protection against splashing. Weight is 450 gram/pair.
The cryo protection gloves should be stored in a ventilated, dry place which is mildew- and moth-free. Avoid contact with acids, alkali, oil and corrosive materials.
