Introduction

The EM-Tec large bulk SEM sample holders are designed to hold awkwardly shaped large bulk samples and parts. These large sample holders are either rectangular or round and have brackets with screws to securely hold the sample in place.  The large bulk sample holders are a cost-effective and practical way to hold large samples and parts for SEM imaging and analysis. They are all made from vacuum grade aluminium and are ideal for SEMs with large specimen stages used in application like failure analysis, quality control and product development. The screws are made from brass and provided with different lengths to cover different sample sizes. Available as rectangular, round and adjustable length sample holders. The EM-Tec large bulk SEM sample holders currently offered are:

• EM-Tec LB48 – Rectangular type large bulk sample holder with two side brackets for short samples up to 52mm. 
• EM-Tec LB96 – Rectangular type large bulk sample holder with two side bracket for longer samples width a maximum thickness of 52mm.
• EM-Tec RB77 – Round type bulk large sample holder with four brackets for sample diameter up to 77mm. The opening between the brackets allows for holding longer rod type sample up to 30mm diameter
• EM-Tec AB100 – Rectangular type large bulk sample holder with two adjustable distance bracket plate for samples from 0.1 to 100mm. The bracket plates are held in grooves in the base plate so that the distance can be adjusted to fit the sample size.  One of the brackets includes a vise type plate. The vise plate can be removed when using screws is preferred.

The EM-Tec bulk sample holders are available with a pin stub, with an M4 threaded hole and with a Ø14mm JEOL stub for JEOL stage adapters with a Ø14mm hole.

EM-Tec AB10 details

Sample secured with screws.	The base plate has 12 groves to adjust the distance between the 2 brackets. For securing the sample, each bracket plate has 8 x M4 threaded holes available to secure the sample.	The sample can also be secured with an adjustable vise plate connected to one of the brackets (as seen above).
